SHEPHERD'S PIE

 Ingredients
  • One small yellow onion
  • olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • One pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1-2 cans cream style corn
  • 5 medium potatoes 
  • butter
  • half and half 
  • garlic powder
  • salt/pepper

Instructions
  • Chop small onion and sauté  in olive oil until soft.
  • Add two cloves of garlic, minced. Sauté for 2 minutes.
  • Add ground beef and cook until no pink remains.
  • Drain any excess grease.
  • Add 2 tbs of Worcestershire sauce and salt/pepper to taste
  • Add 1 -2 cans cream style corn (depending on preference)

  • Boil the peeled and chopped potatoes until they are soft.
  • Drain the potatoes

  • Add butter, half & half, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Mash the potatoes until smooth.

  • Pour the meat/corn mixture into a casserole dish (9" square or equivalent)
  • Top it with the mashed potatoes.
  • Bake at 350º F until the meat is bubbling and the potatoes are golden (30 min)
